Artist's Bio

Kristin Pedersen is a Seattle artist who, after obtaining a degree in civil engineering, decided to study oil painting part-time. Kristin is the understudy of oil painter Sally Kirk.

The focus of Kristin’s work is on figures, and she employs oil paints in glazes, building up to 10 coats of medium to achieve the final color.

Kristin plans to concentrate on oil painting for several years, and then move on to stone sculpture.
